Dr. Jelena Petresin
From 2004 to 2010, she studied medicine at the University of Graz, Austria, completing her studies with the degree of medical doctor. She spent most of her "practical year" as an intern at Graz university hospital, including some time at the hospital for endocrinology and reproductive medicine, but also abroad (Minneapolis university hospital, US, Bangkok university hospital, Thailand).
Her special interest has always been in reproductive medicine and endocrinology, which is why she eventually opted for the field of gynaecology and obstetrics.
In 2011, she began her specialist training at the Sophien- und Hufeland-Klinikum, Weimar, Germany, where she worked in the urogynaecological clinic as well as obtaining further training in minimally invasive surgery, particularly in the diagnostic workup of infertility patients.
In order to expand her skills and competences, she continued her specialist training at the municipal hospital of Karlsruhe, Germany and completed her training in 2016. In Karlsruhe, her work focussed on patients with endometriosis, myoma and infertility.
After her examination as a medical specialist, she spent another year mainly at the centre for breast conditions at the municipal hospital of Karlsruhe.
Since October 2017, she has been a member of the Heidelberg infertility clinic.
In her free time, she likes cooking and reading. She also enjoys hiking and cycling, and she loves travelling.
